Renée has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Tasmania and was admitted to practice in 2004. Prior to admission she worked for a number of years as an industrial officer, providing a good grounding in Australian employment law. Since admission, she has worked in the area of civil litigation, assisting private and corporate clients in a range of areas including insurance, personal injury, workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, professional conduct, workplace relations, and building and construction.
Renée enjoys providing strategic and pragmatic advice to clients with a focus on commercial and cost-effective resolution of claims.
Renée is also a Senior Adjudicator with Adjudicate Today under the Security of Payments legislation framework in NSW, ACT and Tasmania and determines complex building and construction payment disputes.
Renée was named as a Preeminent lawyer in the 2023 'Doyle's Guide' Leading Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyers – Tasmania.
Whilst studying and during her professional career Renée has enjoyed sitting as a Board member on a number of not-for-profit organisations, welcoming the opportunity to provide strategic input to worthwhile causes..
