Sarah Mead graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2009 with the degree of Bachelor of Laws. Sarah has practised exclusively in family law since being admitted. She specialises in all aspects of family law work including children’s’ matters, property settlements, divorce, spousal maintenance, financial agreements, child support and divorce. Sarah also practices in child protection and family violence matters.
Sarah regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divisions one and two) and the Magistrates Court of Tasmania. Sarah is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Tasmania and a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. She is also the President of the Tasmanian Women Lawyers.
Sarah is currently undertaking further study to become an Independent Children’s Lawyer appointed through National Legal Aid and a Separate Representative for children in the Child Protection jurisdiction.
